The purpose of this session is to investigate the payroll impact of the provision of goods and services to employees in excess of their cash salary. We will look at a wide range of likely benefits in kind so delegates will understand the wide range of items that employers typically provide worldwide to employees, which would need to be identified during any due diligence investigations of prospective new jurisdictions. The session will address the following specific points:
- Popular tax-free benefits in kind and payroll reporting obligations
- Valorisation of benefits for payrolling purposes
- Social insurance liability on provision of benefits in kind
- Payroll monitoring of capped benefit schemes (for example the Dutch WKR scheme)
