This course provides the information necessary to maintain compliance in every state in which you pay employees. Learn how the states are impacted by the federal tax reform law, including which version of the IRC the state follows. This course covers state income tax withholding issues, non-child support withholding orders, residency determinations, fringe benefits issues, and much more.

Learning Objectives
- Understand employer obligations of having employees working in other states
- Determine which state's income tax should be withheld from employee pay
- Examine the different requirements for paid sick leave and paid family leave programs
- Understand state new hire reporting requirements
- Identify the states that had a FUTA credit reduction for 2024 and potentially for 2025
